A Greener ÍscarCup: Sustainable Welcome Pack and 15,000 Plastic Bottles Saved

Football isn’t just played on the pitch; it’s also played by taking care of our planet. This year, at the ÍscarCup Skechers 2026, we wanted to step up our commitment to the environment and the value-based education of future generations.

That is why all players and coaching staff of the participating teams will receive a very special, and above all, eco-friendly Welcome Pack upon their arrival in Madrid.

The Welcome Pack: Design, Utility, and Awareness

Each participant will receive an exclusive tournament backpack and a reusable metal thermal bottle with a screw cap. This bottle is not only designed to keep water ice-cold during the intense days of competition and the spring heat, but it also serves a much greater purpose: eliminating single-use plastics from our benches and stands.

Thanks to this initiative, we estimate that over the three days of the tournament, we will save the use of around 15,000 small plastic water bottles.

There will be water refill stations throughout the sports facilities so the kids can fill their metal bottles as many times as they need, staying hydrated in a 100% sustainable way.
